Maris Lauri is the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia (Reform Party). In 1989, she graduated from University of Tartu with a degree in economic cybernetics and also received an MA in economics from the same university in 1994. Later, she worked as an economic analyst at Tallinn Pank and Hansapank and Swedbank. In 2014, she served as the economic adviser to the Prime Minister. Lauri was the Minister of Finance in 2014-2015, and the Minister of Education and Research in 2016. She was a member of Riigikogu between 2016 and 2021.
